On August 19, 22, 26, 27, and September 3, 2023, **************** attempted to make purchases using the card which was cancelled due to the fraudulent use reported August 3, 2023. ******* report and the card from that time was closed due to fraud and a new card number was issued on August 5, 2023, and sent to the address on file. The Representative submitted an unauthorized use case due to Ms. On August 3, 2023, **************** called and spoke with a Customer Success Representative to report unauthorized charges that appeared on her Account. For resolution, **************** requests a refund be issued to cover the overdraft fees charged by her bank.
In her complaint, **************** stated, purchases attempted on her Destiny Account declined and when her bank account was used for the purchases, she was charged overdraft fees. They also told me I would still be responsible for the payments and late fees even though this is a fraudulent account. This company makes it easy for identity theft to make a dollar. When I called about the account there was a different address and phone number on the account and if they had did the correct steps with opening the account they would've seen that I've lived at the same address for 10 years and had the same phone number for atleast 8. I told them this person maxed the card out at a furniture store in ******* and I live in *****. When I called to tell them this was a fraudulent account they told me they couldn't close the account as fraud, they could only close the account as closed by consumer.
